I am very interested in the opportunity for employment as a motion graphics artist. I am an enthusiastic artist with a strong interest in collaborating with Vox’s influential video team. Currently working as a freelance animator and illustrator, I collaborate with art directors and studios to tell exciting stories visually. Along with my 8 years of freelance motion graphics experience, some relevant studio experience includes my time at VICE News Tonight (HBO), where I worked as a part of the graphics team on important and fast-paced animation projects. Designing motion has always been my passion, and I am excited to learn more every day from my peers. My own work has been inspired by video series like Earworm and Explained, and I am familiar and identify with Vox’s editorial and brand design. I work within the Adobe Suite every day, and in my personal practice I love experimenting with stop-motion and cel-based animation, painting, and printmaking. I will be available to work remotely or in the New York office and can begin immediately. You can find samples of my work below. Thank you for your consideration!

VICE News Tonight on HBO

For each of the following videos, my main role was to design the animation from initial sketches and storyboards to final art. Upon completing and preparing the artwork, I collaborated with another motion graphics artist, as well as editors and producers to bring the pieces to life and ready for air. As news for television, each piece had tight deadlines, and I feel the fast-paced nature and editorial subject matter is something Vox’s informative video pieces share as well.
